Aloha and Welcome to The Pacific Bridge Companies!

The Fall 2026 internship is an eleven-week program for students interested in international finance, wealth planning, or financial services operations. Interns are assigned to educational projects and work alongside experienced professionals and project mentors.

Candidate Profile

We evaluate candidates on the following:

  • Interest in international business, wealth planning, or financial services
  • Willingness to take both initiative and direction, ask questions, and apply feedback
  • Reliability, professionalism, and integrity
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • No prior financial services experience is required.

Schedule

Fall 2026 Internship Dates:

  • Thursday, September 10th – Thursday November 19th 2026
  • Interns attend in person each Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in our Monrovia office, including a one-hour lunch break. Thursdays include training, team meetings, project collaboration, presentations, and time with mentors.
  • The program includes an additional REQUIRED four to eight hours per week of independent work, research, and virtual check-ins. These hours can generally be completed remotely on the intern’s own schedule. This range will vary with project stage and development progress.

Project Areas

Project assignments are determined by intern interests and academic goals. Each area is structured around defined learning objectives; interns may work in one or more of the following areas:

  • Research and case support. Interns learn how research questions are framed and answered in a financial services setting: identifying credible sources, evaluating insurance carriers and financial products against a defined set of criteria, and presenting findings in a form a professional can act on.
  • Process and operations. Interns learn to analyze an organization as a system of connected processes. By documenting existing workflows, drafting standard operating procedures, and mapping handoffs between teams.
  • Data and reporting. Interns learn data handling fundamentals, including record standardization, database maintenance, and the selection of meaningful performance measures.
  • Marketing and business development. Interns study how financial services organizations identify audiences, position themselves against competitors, and communicate within the compliance constraints of a regulated industry.

Previous interns have contributed to projects involving international advisor networks, cross-border business models, private placement life insurance and variable annuities, and related financial planning strategies. Many have used this experience to secure additional internships or begin careers with leading firms in investment management, insurance, tax, and consulting. Others have transitioned into full-time roles with The Pacific Bridge Companies or its affiliated organizations.

Compensation and Academic Credit

This is an unpaid internship. There is no expectation of compensation for participation.

The program is structured so that students may pursue academic credit through their college or university. Students seeking credit are responsible for coordinating with their school and initiating any required approval process. The Pacific Bridge Companies will complete reasonable documentation, affiliation agreements, and evaluations required by the school.
