Who We Are

Founded in 1992, The Pacific Bridge Companies (TPBC) has deep roots in financial services and community activism dating back to the 1930s when our founder’s grandfather led the charge to abolish racially discriminatory practices in the life insurance industry of the United States.

Today, we’re all about making global financial navigation a reality by helping financial advisors guide their clients wherever in the world their lives may lead. We help financial advisors support these clients by providing advice, financial planning ideas, and connections to other finance and insurance professionals ready to assist.

If you believe in the importance of financial advice that flexes as one ventures from one part of the world to another, you share in our hope. Perhaps this is where your talent may be of best use. We’d love to explore this with you!

Meet Our Team

Meet Hozumi

Japanese Platform

Hozumi didn’t set out to join the financial services industry. After graduating from journalism college in Japan, she worked as a newspaper editor alongside some of Tokyo’s top professionals. But years of working long hours on deadlines led to physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. Something had to give. After quitting her job, Hozumi and her best friend traveled to Los Angeles. There, she met a Japanese businessperson who offered her a job in San Francisco, but the company went bankrupt before she could start. She followed through with her plan to move to the U.S., and not long afterward, met Stephen Kagawa, who wanted to learn Japanese for an upcoming client presentation. Hozumi translated that presentation and later agreed to give a presentation of her own. When she saw the need for financial planning in the Japanese community, it changed her life forever.
